EV VERIFIED™ tests high-voltage EV batteries, the batteries that power the vehicle, to determine the State of Health, SoH, or percentage of usable battery storage remaining. The SoH test is critical in vehicle valuation because replacement batteries may cost more than the vehicle is worth.

Independent analysis
EV VERIFIED tests pull voltage behavior, current, and temperature data independently from the manufacturer’s pre-calculated readouts to evaluate the true state of health. The field data is also matched against the data bank to show relative battery health to like-models tested. Tests reveal where the tested vehicle rates versus other identical models.

Most RAPID EV STATE OF HEALTH tests take less than 30 minutes depending on the make and model.

Q5. When should I replace my EV?
85% State of Health, SoH, is typically a good time to move on from a four-year-old EV. Many EV battery warranties expire at 70%. So if 70% State of Health, SoH, represents 0% left of battery warranty, then 85% equals 50% of remaining battery under warranty. An EV with 85% SoH would represent a fair value and anything over 90% would be a good value for the next owner. And while it may take four years to degrade from 100 to 85% SoH, the next four years would likely see more than 15% loss of battery capacity as degradation accelerates with age.
